New Zealand Orchid Society Outings
The New Zealand Orchid Society organises regular outings for both members and interested visitors. These trips include visits to commercial orchid growers as well as hobby growers, offering a chance to see different collections and learn more about growing orchid plants. Outings are a great way to increase your collection, share knowledge, and enjoy time with fellow orchid growers. All members and non-members are warmly welcome to join.

Gellerts Nurseries

At the invitation of the South Auckland Orchid Society, we joined many other orchid enthusiasts for a tour of Gellerts Nurseries
Joshua Limited
Fine Cymbidium growers for the cut flower market.
Outing Date: 7th June, 2025
A gathering of orchid growers admiring the beautiful array of Cymbidium flowers at Joshua nursery. This was an event organised by South Auckland Orchid Society.
Ninox Orchids
Ninox grows orchids from a wide range of genera, including Oncidiums, Odontoglossums, Dendrobiums, Cattleyas, Paphiopedilums, and many others.
Kentia Palms
Thomas offers an impressive variety of houseplants and orchids, and there’s always a hidden gem waiting to be found on his shelves.

Members of the New Zealand Orchid Society with their orchid purchases from our February 2025 visit to Ninox Orchid Nursery and Kentia Palms Nursery. It was a great day to be together, we all enjoyed the trip, and we are already looking forward to next year’s outing.
